 Playing games in real life with friends is fun.  Make sure you bring cookies. At the moment my Magic collection with over 12,000 cards is in storage. I planned to unpack my collection with my other belongings by now. 

I met Kevin Pereira of G4tv at Comicon in 2010. He was friendly and wished me “Good luck in saving tv”.  Unfortunately, the only thing that needs saving is me these days.   

Many of my books are in storage. This includes my ROG books which include rare and hard to find books. Books like Blood of Heroes are impossible to obtain. My plan was to relocate. I sold my mother's house with the plan to buy a new one. Obviously, it makes no sense that I would sell a house and risk everything I owned and put myself on the streets. Unfortunately,I need money now in large enough sums to stabilize. Gaming is a lifestyle choice. I have been gaming all my life. I survived the satanic panic. I endured the Mortal Kombat rating debacle. I lived through the blame Doom era. I watched games grow from a hobby for nerds to a mainstream activity. We went from two colors to millions. Gaming is worth billions and provides a living to 330,000 people directly and more indirectly. The steam winter sale will be a lost opportunity for me this year because I unexpectedly became homeless.

  IN January 2010 at Branch 3 of Catholic Charities, the homeless gathered to play Madden on a PlayStation. 

I spent two nights in the so-called open air shelter. The shelter provides mylar blankes and little more. There are minimal resources at the Courtyard. I personally feel the mylar blankets are too small to cover someone and are environmentally unsound. The system refuses to provide dignity to the people it serves. Workers are polite, but they have no real resources for assisting people. There is pressure to push people into mental health systems even though they do not need them. The idea that homeless people are mentally ill is a common propaganda designed to reassure the public that homelessness is justified. My charity of choice was Habitat for Humanity since they built houses, but thee shelters are an affront to civilization. I urge elected officials to spend a week in them to familiarize themselves with the conditions. Ultimately, I believe they would defend these efforts and try a new approach.
