Have you created a game?

I created a few games in my life. Growing up, we often created our own board games, roleplaying games, and card games. I had a C-64 and programmed games in basic. These days, there are engines to help create games. You can create assets in programs like blender or buy them fairly cheaply.

There was this one time when I wrote a book.

The great outdoors!

Image
It is easy to forget that life exists outside. There are many incredible sights to see outdoors in Florida. The wetlands we have in Florida showcase wildlife at its finest. I uses a Panasonic GX-85 to capture the beauty of wildlife. Please take time to explore and enjoy nature.

Indie Spotlight: Lunacid

Image
I recently discovered Lunacid. I enjoy horror titles. I also played the original King's Field. Lunacid is a King's Field type game in the horror genre. The game is definitely worth checking out. One caution, do not view the VHS tapes. You do not want to end up with ending E.

Experimental Build On Timberborn with tubes and ziplines!

Image
If you have not played Timberborn, you are missing out on a relaxing experience. The beavers in Timberborn now have ziplines and tubes. These new modes of transportation greatly improve the beavers travel speed. This makes it easier to build wide districts. If you need to relax after a long day, Timberborn is super chill.

How to start playing Brawl on MTGA

Image
Brawl is a 100 card singleton format for Magic the Gathering Arena where two players compete against each other. Why play brawl? Brawl is a singleton format which reduces deck consistency. Players also start with twenty five life. This tends to slow games down a little. In addition, once you create a good Brawl deck you do not have to worry about upgrading or investing more cards in the deck because Brawl does not rotate. It is difficult for new players to compete with established collections. I recently put together a deck which is new player friendly by focusing on cards from Bloomburrow forward. These are cards that players will likely pull anyway. The commander is Zoraline. The deck is not as tuned as some of my other decks, but remains competitive. I did use some common and uncommon wildcards from prior sets, but no rares or mythics from anything before Bloomburrow. If you want to give Brawl a try, Zoraline is as good a start as anywhere. The deck wins about fifty percent of t...

Gamers give back

Image
Gaming and charity go hand in hand. Last month, I donated to the Blender Development Fund. Blender supports artists around the world with free and open source modeling, compositing, and sequencing software. It was amazing when Flow won an Oscar using Blender! Everyone in the Blender community was excited. This month, I picked up the RPG themed Humble Bundle. I play games like Solasta and other CRPGS. The bundle looks great and you can support charity by picking it up.

Which consoles do you own?

Image
I mainly play PC games. I love the PC because it allows me to create art, edit photos, write screenplays, and enjoy gaming. Two consoles which I own are the Playstion and the Wii. Both of those consoles gave us groundbreaking gaming experiences. The Playstation brought the arcade home for most of us. I still play Ridge Racer and other playstation titles. The Wii brought people together to play games like Wii Sports. It is always fun to game with a friend. I enjoyed the motion control technology which added a new dimension to games like Resident Evil 4. Do you prefer PC gaming or consoles?

Do you enjoy playing games in real life with friends?

Image
I enjoy connecting with people in real life to roll dice and play TCGs. Roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons and competitve games like Magic the Gathering are great fun. I enjoy the creative aspects of roleplaying games. They stimulate my mind. I love the artwork on Magic cards. They often have interesting themes and diverse designs. I picked up the new core books and already played in a sessioni of D&D 2024. Playging games in person is fun. If you need to connect with other gamers, you can go to your LGS.

Yes! I write screenplays.

Image
I write screenplays in a wide variety of genres including fantasy, horror, crime, and science fiction. The screenplays range from budget films to major motion pictures. Many of my screenplays incorporate my experiences as a gamer, organizer, and lawyer. If you are interested in producing screenplays, feel free to contact me. I enjoy screenwriting. On the Way is a syncretic fantasy adventure inspired by fantasy roleplaying games. Through nature and games, a mother raises her daughter to overcome life's hardships, but when her daughter pursues the way of the monk, a secret threatens everything. FLGZ is a contained horror feature. A group of friends gathers to play in a card game tournament, but when a mysterious riot breaks out they must fight for more than first place. Lovers, Letters, & Counterfeiters is a crime feature. After her husband's arrest, a woman enlists the help of a stranger to free him, but when she gets caught in a criminal investigation, she must prove her i...
