Game boxes
A lot of games are distributed digitally these days. I own a lot of games on disks. Some argued that games were less buggy when they could not rely on day one patches. Q&A testing is critical to a successful launch. A long time ago, closed betas were truly difficult to get into. They were invite only opportunities for a very limited group of players. The playtesting was serious. There were activities that you did. It was not simply playing, but people instructed you what needed to be tested and you tested it. Your feedback was highly valued. There was still time for fun and games though.
